My name is, Heather Zobel. I love anything to                                               do with Design, Creative Thinking, Computers and

                                         the Printing Industry.

               I'm a Graphic Designer with a B.A. in Commercial Art, 9+ yrs in the  

          Printing/Copying Industry, 2+ yrs as a Graphic Designer, as well as a

          freelancer at different times throughout the years. 

​

               During my time in the Printing/Copying Industry, I developed skills in consulting with clients, coordinating projects, prioritizing due times, supervising

co-workers & projects, trouble shooting files, working with various Computer Software Programs and using both PC and MAC computers. I also gained several years in In-House Sales as a Commercial Business Rep., which allowed me to work with several well known Companies such as: Atomic Ski, Timberland, Velcro, Fidelity Investments, Huddig Building Products, Cisco and several others.

        

               I've recently been venturing back into the Freelance World, as well as trying to get a small Online Shop Created. I've done a few Logo jobs so far; building up my Portfolio along with my knowledge base. I've been using job postings of various projects as practice to hone my skills.

 

               I'm turning my health issues that forced me to resign from my previous job into a positive, by focusing on the thing I always really wanted to pursue: Creative Design/Writing. I'm really looking to work with a Company long-term, learning and growing along side everyone as a Team.

               I'm proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Affinity Publisher, Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. I have moderate abilities in MS Office programs and have been familiarizing myself with programs such as WIX, Wordpress, Canva and Mailchimp.  

 

               I'm presently using Affinity Software for all my creative work. I can save in various file formats: PSD, JPG, PDF, SVG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, EPS and a few others. Affinity is always upgrading their Software and the individual programs work fluently with one another. I'm not against using Adobe Software, but don't have the funds or a real need too at this time.

 

               My strengths are laying out images, typography and body text in a creative way, manipulating, compositing, restoring / touching up images, creating vector images from photos, sketches, etc. and creating images that tell a story. I am always trying to better myself and my computer abilities by doing research and watching tutorials, etc.

               My interests have been mostly in Logo Design, Pattern Design and T-Shirt Design; with a little bit of Copywriting also.

   

                I consider myself Mechanically Inclined, Computer Literate, a Very Hard Worker, a Great Team Player, Dependable, Organized, a very Quick Learner, a Creative Individual and a very Detail Oriented person by nature. I love Learning New Things and would love to be part of a Team that takes Care and Pride in what they do. I’ve excelled at all the jobs I’ve held and always strive to give a 110% or more, no matter how small the task.
